Reflection Of Our Corporate Citizenship

Hero Group has always been at the forefront in contributing towards the society, since the time of its inception. Carrying this legacy forward as a responsible corporate, Rockman has been engaged in various CSR initiatives. The purpose is to introduce a sustainable change in society, especially for the underprivileged and weaker sections.

To institutionalise this initiative, we set up the “ROCKMAN FOUNDATION” – a separate entity to bring more professionals on board and dedicated resources to manage. The foundation primarily focuses on CSR initiative under “MISSION PARIVARTAN”.

Mission Parivartan started in the year 2014 to inspire and commit people towards the changing society, in association with a professional organisation Mrida. New initiatives did well and brought changes in the community on three fronts; Health, Education and Employability. This model and induction of Mirda have given us lots of experience and knowledge and opportunities for direct involvement in the project along with villagers.

Rockman Skill Development Centre was established in Haridwar in the year 2016. Later we started two more centers in Ludhiana and Kurali. The aim of running these centres is to provide necessary skills to the children who are in 10th or 12th standard.

  • Courses Offered:
  • CNC Operator Turning
  • Fitter Mechanical Assembly
  • Electrician
  • IT Help Desk Attendant – For girls only
  • Welder
  • SMO (Sewing Machine operator)
  • Type Of Skill Being Inducted:
  • 100% practical training
  • Hands-on practice on CNC Machine, Lathe Machine, Milling Machine, Surface Grinder, Drill Machine, Single phase and 3 Phase wiring and Panel maintenance
  • Supporting IT and Soft Skill Training

Rockman has reformed several educational facilities for children in villages. Several institutions and schools were constructed to provide education and awareness programs to villagers.

  • Provision of Teachers

Rockman has expanded its ‘Parivartan’ journey by partnering with villagers. We improve rural infrastructure through these initiatives. The journey is still in progress but flourishing with fruitful results.

  • Institutional Development through Gram Parivartan Samiti (GPS).
  • Adopted 43 villages till date
  • Livelihood Generation
  • Agriculture and non-agriculture interventions to supplement household income
  • Health & Hygiene
  • Sanitation programs – Toilet construction/Open Defecation Free (ODF) villages
  • 461 toilets constructed and 21 villages are ODF

Sustainable development is one key aspect of Rockman. Whatever infrastructure we create and whatever industrial development is undertaken, we ensure that the same doesn’t compromise the requirement of future and societal development. With a similar objective, in ‘Parivartan’ scheme, we plant trees to maintain nature’s greenery and have already achieved the milestone of planting over 28,000 trees.
